Hello Lovely Hearts ❤
Hope you’re taking good care of your self this scorching summer 🙂
#Maxi dress!! It’s very much into the season!! Don’t we look so classy in it? You bet!!
I’ll give you a quick recap on this dress… “Flash Back” … we go to early 1960s and these maxis were already into the eyes and thoughts of people, though it took a while for them to capture the markets in the western hemisphere due to the outrageous domination of the miniskirts. Laced maxis were introduced for the first time in 1968 in New York, probably because the laced maxis were more of the Royal type.
The maxi dress of 60s and 70s had more lace & went down to the ankles, the maxi at present is a bit longer almost touching the floor and the fabrics are soft like mine. It’s always been a perfect choice for breakfast, lunch, Shopping and a dinner date “day to night look book” without skipping a beat.
Considering the Indian Markets in those days, only one segment of the population was into it where as a large chunk of the population was confined to its traditional and indigenous attire.
Am I the only one who thinks that fashion has only slightly changed when it comes to each country? I believe fashion has only been copied or upgraded from similar versions!! The kurti we wear for instance, it has a similar output irrespective of side slit and lengths.
The Ghagra Choli or Lehenga Choli for another instance, take out the dupatta or choli from it and we get a cropped top and a long skirt!!! 😉
Look what I have got for you 🙂
Red Shrug: Like you see, I have paired my blue feather print maxi with a red shrug. Red is a highly vibrant color and a bit more appealing to the eye. Don’t want red?? Go for black or a silver jacket!
All I love about this dress is the flared fairy look. I am totally a maxi dress lover and frankly I feel so elegant from inside too.
One scarf and there an outfit makeover. As you can see I have put on my polka semi net scarf (which is my favorite) as a head scarf, Shoulder wrap and a vintage wrap.
Accessorized with Golden bead neck piece from Myntra.
